♥ Sandi ❣ | 617 comments There are always some authors that their work is quickly adapted. Such as John Grisham, Stephen King, Nicholas Sparks, Chris Bohjalian etc.

Is there a book you would like to see adapted? Name the book. Who is the author? Who would play the lead roles?

Have you heard of an upcoming adaptation that interests you? Adapted from what book? Who is the author? What is the upcoming date of the film/TV series? Where will it be playing? Who stars in it - or who do you think should?

☕Laura | 31 comments Harlan Coben's books also seem to be frequently adapted. I haven't read him at all but I've enjoyed some of the TV adaptations.

Barbara | 12 comments A lot of Elmore Leonard's books have been adapted, but the westerns - Last Stand at Sabre River, Valdez is Coming, Hombre, 3:10 to Yuma (which was a short story) were overall better than mote of the crime novel adaptations, probably with the exception of "Get Shorty" which was very good, and "Jackie Brown" that was an adaptation of his book, "Rum Punch."
Five books I would like to see adapted?
1. Virginia Lanier's "Bloodhound" series - either the first book, "Death in Bloodhound Red" as a movie or the whole series as a streaming series.
2. Gentlemen and Players, by Joanne Harris - A good limited streaming series - the novel was a slowish burn with a great twist.
3. The Lost Man, by Jane Harper - Her third book, the first 2 were made into movies - this one is atmospheric, a good suspense builder. I'm a fan of her books.
4. Hidden Fires: A Holmes Before Baker Street Adventure, by Jane Rubino - a fan of her contemporary mysteries, and I am a huge fan of Holmes - this was my absolute favorite of the recent new Holmes novels, great characters, tons of twists.
5. The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories - This is a series of anthologies, some have themes, like Christmas, some are just new stories by various authors who have written Holmes tales. With all the Holmes stuff on (Sherlock, Sherlock and Daughter, Enola Holmes and now the Andrew Lane young Holmes being optioned) I would love to see a series of Holmes tales done as faithfully as the old series from Granada TV that starred Jeremy Brett.
