Not out yet, but I'll be giddy over Heartstopper: Volume Five by Alice Oseman. Releasing 2023-02-02.

I can recommend "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo" (sorry I don't know how to link it), I really loved it! Unfortunately already listened to the audio book this year.
Looking for something else with bisexual representation to read for this challenge!

I'm going with [book:Hang the Moon

A few romance novels I enjoyed that had bisexual leads and would recommend off the top of my head are The Lady's Guide to Celestial Mechanics, Take a Hint, Dani Brown, and Wrong to Need You.

I'm probably going to go for The Princess Trap or Xeni, but I'm also looking forward to seeing recommendations (especially historical ones).

I browsed for books with character development, coming-of-age elements, and/or plots beyond just the romance, and I've found a few:
Autoboyography
The Secret of You and Me
Any Place But Here

I just read Mistakes Were Made and both MCs as well as another major character are bi. If anyone is doing Popsugar as well it would also fulfill the forbidden romance prompt.

I'm going through my lists and it's tricky because a lot of the characters who are attracted to more than one gender identify as queer, and "bisexual" isn't a word that's used. Can we consider it bisexual representation if a character is attracted to men and women and no terms are used at all? In that case the Scholomance series beginning with A Deadly Education has a bi main character.

Thank you for sharing this list! I found lots to read there. And I found a Graceling sequel that was published in 2021 that I had no idea existed!!! Whether it's for this prompt or not, I am definitely reading Winterkeep.

I think for this I am going to read You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty which will also be a double dip for me since it falls into prompt #6 (a book you DNF)

This is literally a Florence & the Machine lyric and it bothers me that it was so blatantly used for this title.

Skye Kilaen has some romances which would count. I read Get It Right a couple of years ago, which includes a main character who has relationships with men and women. I may go with Shake Things Up this time.

i have the same beef Mandie. I also was bothered that the MC was a raging narcissist and the view of love and grief is that of a 15 year old not a woman nearly twice that age.

The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue is on my TBR.

I started this book, a week ago, after buying it on clearance. :) I'm glad it fits this challenge.

Someone gave me Cool for the Summer not too long ago and it seems perfect for this challenge.

I'm planning to read The Stand-Up Groomsman for this challenge, but can recommend Written in the Stars, as I really enjoyed it last year!

For something with a touch of fantasy, I loved Witch Please

I ended up reading Never Ever Getting Back Together for this prompt and it was really fun. For those doing Popsugar as well, the book also fulfills the Song Lyric in Title prompt.

Under the Whispering Door has bisexual representation and could be considered a romance novel, even though the romance isn't super over the top.

I'm going to read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue for this one. It's a fantasy book, but I think it'll count as a romance, too.

I’ll have to check that out. I love that you can narrow it down like that. Character development and more than romance are categories I like too. If there is a tag for older adults that would be fantastic.

Oh this sounds interesting, with multiple generations. I’m not sure if I’ve read anything with Sri-Lanka characters.

To be fair, I'm not sure if the character is bisexual or lesbian. So it might not count.

Thanks for the heads up. I realized tonight that I’ve already read a lot of books with this tag, but I didn’t remember most of them as fitting the tag. I have no idea if the books represent anyone’s true perspective, or if a few details were added to spice up the book. This challenge is an add-on for me this year, so this prompt has low priority in my quest to read harder.

I think I'll read Some Girls Do for this prompt. I can't resist giving myself the YA bisexual romance representation I wish I had when I was, ya know, YAB (young adult bisexual.)

I am listening to the audiobook The Perfect Crimes of Marian Hayes for this task. In Georgian London, the Duchess of Clare has shot her husband and she only has the criminal who is blackmailing her to help her escape.

I chose the audiobook version of You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty, making it a double dip with task 7 (audiobook performed by a POC of a book written by an AOC)

Planning to read Assassin's Mercy by Lauren L. Garcia

I listened to The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue and loved it. I ended up listening to the whole series of 3 books + a novella.
It is YA, so maybe not for everyone.

Felix Ever After, that I listened to for the "Read a novel about a trans character written by a trans author", would fit also, as the MC is bisexual. This was also great! And also YA, my favorite genre.

Yes! there is bisexual representation in all of the Heartstopper books.

I’m reading The Queer Principles of Kitt Webb by Cat Sebastian. It’s lots of fun!

I just finished All That's Left in the World, and I definitely recommend it if you like your romance with a side of post-apocalypse.

I went with Lesbians on Television: New Queer Visibility the Lesbian Normal because it talks about some bisexual relationships on television shows.

Yes romance!! I'm so excited for this prompt! I just wanna echo Dani Brown because I love the Brown sisters and Talia Hibbert, but I've read that more than once so I have to try something new :(.

I already had Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake written down for myself so I think that's the one I'll read, but Payback's a Witch and A Lot Like Adiós have been on my TBR for a while so I might try to read one of those.

This thread introduced me to I'll Be the One and Love & Other Dramas, so now they're on my tbr.

edit I read Rosaline Palmer and I was disappointed. Now, I am on the search for a romance with a bisexual MC that I actually like because most of the ones I've read have been insufferable!!! (looking at you Rosaline and Feyi and dad in that book whose name I forgot)

Would Interview with the Vampire fit this prompt or is that too much of a stretch?

Just finished Shades of Wicked by Jeaniene Foster.

I still plan on reading the ones I mentioned in my previous post, but what I ended up getting to first for this challenge was Radiant Sin by Katee Robert--many of the characters in the series are bi (probably most of them, really), both of the protagonists (M/F) are bi, and the heroine having an ex-gf is plot-relevant.

I just finished The Romance Recipe by Ruby Barrett and loved it. One of the protagonists is bi and part of the plot is how she is embracing that part of herself.

I read Heartstopper: Volume One for this prompt.
