Thanks :)
(That's what happens when you copy and past the previous year for a template lol)

It's almost time for the annual voting! Probably around another week. I've started keeping my eye out for any announcements or updates on the Choice Awards page. I can't wait to see which books are in the polls this year!

Yes! I always hope I've read at least a few of them in different categories. Are there any you're hoping to see?

SO EXCITED! I love this time of year.

Fourth Wing definitely in the YA / Fantasy category!

I'm reading that now and so far I definitely have to agree!

Good grief, you weren't aware of Year of Sanderson? It was huuuuge lol
During Covid, Sanderson wrote 4 secret books (nothing to do with his ongoing series - although three of them are set in the Cosmere world), he then did a big secret announcement for a Kickstarter that ended up the most successful campaign in it's history.
The four books were released each quarter of this year, with title and plot etc kept secret until release date and 2023 was dubbed The Year of Sanderson
Tress was the first book of this, released on Jan 1st and it is excellent.

I thought the same thing. I don't know how I missed it. Maybe I forgot. lol I've been pretty brain fogged lately. Although, after reading your post, I also don't recall The Year of Sanderson so maybe I've just been under a rock. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Edit - In fairness to myself and my oblivious status, I've only ever read one book by Sanderson. (I know... shocking!) I haven't even read The Final Empire yet, though it's been on my TBR forever. The only one I read was Steelheart.

How about The Way of Kings?
@Lynn which one was your favorite of the 4?

I've only read Tress.
I've read hardly any Cosmere Sanderson (but most of his other stuff) with the exception of Warbreaker, so listened to what others had to say about the connections.
So I read Tress because I was told while there are Easter Eggs it doesn't matter, and after reading I agree.
I tried Wizard, because there's no connection, but it wasn't interesting me (and had heard it was the weakest) so DNF'd
Yuri and Sunlit I heard that knowing the Cosmere helped when reading these (especially Sunlit), so didn't bother with those.
