Patricia | 1136 comments Finally on May 7th, I have finished one tome. The Lincoln Highway This is one I was going to read last year for my 12 & 4 challenge, but when my book club picked it to read this year, I held off until this month. I really enjoyed it, though not too sure of the ending. Will make for a interesting discussion tomorrow.

I have a couple of more tomes I'm reading, so hope to finish at least one more soon. Also reading a couple of books that are at 470-480 pp. Just don't quite make the cut.

Patricia | 1136 comments Finished my second book, The Autumn Throne. This is the third in a series. I have it on my Kindle and started it a while back, but finally got back to it and finished it. I enjoy Elizabeth Chadwick's books and appreciated reading more about this amazing queen.

Patricia | 1136 comments Finished my third book, Journey Under the Midnight Sun, a Japanese mystery by Keigo Higashino. This is the third book I've read by Higashino. I've enjoyed them all, but this one was the longest and most complex by far. After a few chapters, I had to stop and make a notecard with the names on it. Partly because they were Japanese names (unfamiliar to me) & partly because there were so many & there were some gaps in the timeline. Once I got into it, though, very compelling and a great mystery.

Patricia | 1136 comments Book #8 The Eighth Life. This book was way too long for me. I listened to the audio, but had no problem setting aside when other books became available, so it took me over a year to finish it. I did enjoy it in the beginning but after the 70% mark, just wanted to finish it. 3 stars

Patricia | 1136 comments Finished 2 more: A Perfect Heritage & The Little Friend. Managed to finish them on the same day. I had been reading A Perfect Heritage on my Nook for some time. I'm 90% through with War and Peace, so I'll finish that for the year & hopefully, at least, one more.
