Ann, I am on board with your three suggestions. Of course! I'm going to read them anyway, LOL

Agreed, Drowning does look good! I think I'm going to request in now, whether we select it as a group read or not.
Falling was unputdownable!

Since we are looking for a June book, let's start with Russ's suggestion first. I think it fits nicely!
Jun-2023 great suggestion Russ! 🔶Drowning by T.J. Newman (US release May 30, 2023)
Jul-2023 Geri's suggestion fits well!
🔶 The Only One Left by Riley Sager (US Release date June 20, 2023)
Aug-2023 Maybe either or both for August? I can't resist either author

Nov-2023 another of Geri's great suggestions.

Dec-2023

I've already requested what I can from the library! For some I'm #1 on the list when they are released!

i have Drowningon my TBR to read so might actually get to that one as the same time as the group!

Lol who am I kidding, I have a pile up of other audio books in front of it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a happy place to have so many choices!

Nightmares may ensue. Lol

Carol/Bonadie wrote: "I'm number 94 on the hold list for None of This Is True!! I'd better start saving up my Audible credits...."

Yes. I wasn’t too happy at first when Overdrive/Libby changed the way to recommend books. But I figured out how to add the notify me tag. It is nice that there are no limits now. I can put all my requests in at one time. The alerts come through as a message while I am looking at my iPad. So I’ve been lucky to catch these quickly and put a hold on the title. I also check my notify me list on Libby on Tuesdays and Fridays. That’s usually when new titles are added at my library. So far so good!

Some of the tags and subsequent notifications got me closer to the top of the line.
For The Only One Left , not so lucky. I am number 60 in line for one of five copies which translates to 24 weeks. Yikes!! Hopefully they will purchase more copies to speed that up.

I'm number 16 for the audio of The Only One Left so I guess I will be listening to it soon.
I'm not sure what the "notify me" tag you guys are referring to is. Is that different from just placing a hold on a book?

I only get one credit a month and using them is a last resort, although I do have to remember not to let them expire now that they have put restrictions on how long you can hold onto a credit. Not a problem.... Although, I can get so many from the library--CDs and digital audios--that I can take my time with the Audible credits. I usually use them for beloved popular authors whose books I can't wait to read, and group read books that are taking too long to get to me through the library system.

Ann - I finished The Only One Left today. I tried to savor it, but it was too good to read slow. LOL Not sure if you have read Sager before, but it’s definitely one of his best.

I just noticed there is a book two coming in early 2024 - The Hunter. So, food for thought. :)

Even a series book may get a mostly 'automatic' slot if we read the previous books, and we usually look for a true crime book. This thread is for nominations and timing discussions.
