I realize that, my point was there has to be more books. The Moors Murders, wasn't that where Ian Brady tried to get his brother-in-law to participate? And there was the serial killer who was picked up for counterfeiting, when they searched his home found polaroids and tape recordings of much more serious crimes?
I can think of others but can't remember their names right now.

He was caught in the act of kidnapping, and after being arrested started talking about the murders. Hmm doesn't really fit. I read about him in one of Roy Hazelwood's books. But I don't remember which one.

But I am positive there are others that are not coming to me. Can anyone name some cases like this?
They don't need to be murders, for that matter!
