Olamide, please don’t post about your book in all our threads. We have a thread for introducing your books and yourself: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

The books by Leisha Kelly got me going, I read every one of her books which all but one are the same family through decades. 9 books
If I think about books that stood out when people ask, “like what do you read”, I talk about the above, and The Daughters Walk.
As I look through my list The Prayer Box, The Unmaking of June Farrow, The Kitchen Front, Sister of my Heart, and No Ocean Too Wide… these trigger such a positive experience.
Hugs! Glad to find y’all a few months ago… xo
(Not all books mentions are marked as Christian, so no direct links).

On the desktop version (the app doesn't offer this option), there is an "add book/author" button above the comment box. At the bottom of the pop-up, you'll see options for "link" and "cover." Select the one you want, then search up the book you want. Then click "add" next to the correct book.

Thank you so very much for your kind help, Andrea.
Blessings,
MaryAnn

At the end of the year, my favourite book of the whole year, is still a book I read in January!

That's great, Katrina! I love it when you set a high bar early in the year. And that book was spectacular.
Now that I'm almost finished my 2023 reading (and the last 2 books to finish won't be 5 star favourites), I can confidently say that my favourite book I read this year was Heirlooms
.

Heirlooms by Sandra Byrd
The Dive Team Investigations series by Lynn H. Blackburn

The Hanger's Horsemen series by Karen Witemeyer, especially books two and three

A Million Little Choices
A Divine Proverb of Struesel
Indigo Isle
Tangle Tale of Woolgathering Castoff
And the Crisscross series

My favorite fiction book of 2023 was one I also read twice in 2022:

All my other five-star reads in 2023 were re-reads of favorite children's books:
