Sarah Awa (sarah4283) | 7 comments Hello,

I'm not sure how this happened, but one of our (Thinklings') books has 2 Goodreads pages. One of the covers is an older version, and I'd love for that one's page to get taken down.

Here is the one with the CORRECT cover:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

Here is the one with the WRONG cover, which I would love to be taken down:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

Unfortunately, there are reviews on both pages. Would it be possible to transfer all the reviews to the correct page?

Thank you for your help! :)

P.S. Please note I already contacted the Help service, and they "fixed" the problem by taking down(?) the correct cover and leaving up the wrong cover. They must have assumed I got the links mixed up, but I did not. The correct version has the princess in the middle, not the top.

Ma | 1544 comments Our policy is not to remove older versions with different cover images. Some members may still own that edition. These are already linked as alternate versions of the same work, so there is nothing more to be done. Members choose which edition to add their review to and we don't move them between editions.

Emily | 17492 comments EDIT: The author of the work can set the default edition.

As the author, you can set which edition you want to be the primary one that people see on your page.

Sarah Awa (sarah4283) | 7 comments Thanks...Help got back to me and changed it. :)

Btw, it's not a different edition; no books (or e-books) actually ever had that cover. It's a mistake on our part, forgetting to tell our cover designer right away what the author wanted done differently than the first 2 books, then later having the cover designer tweak it (all before publication). Somehow that old file still managed to linger in our computer(s) and sneak its way in. (:

Emily | 17492 comments It was not clear from your first message that it had not been used.
I have replaced the cover.
For future reference, if you have a message going with Support about something it is easier to write them back about it even if they say “normally librarians take care of this in the group.” It is less confusing that way.

Sarah Awa (sarah4283) | 7 comments Okay, thanks, will keep that in mind (but hope this never happens again, lol) :)
