This was a beautiful anthology with a lot of quotes that impacted me and very vivid imagery. I loved how tender the language was when talking about the experience of love, and the hurt could be felt through the words as well without seeming corny.
I didn’t like how long some of the poems were though and the lack of page numbers was a bother, but it was still good.

This duology is FANTASTIC. The cast of characters are unlike any I’ve read in a while - the type of characters that make an impression and stick with you long after you’ve finished reading. The only complaint I have is that I really wish there were more books in the series. Upon investigation, I’m only slightly heartened by the fact that Schwab hasn’t entirely dismissed the idea of a third. I won’t hold my breath, but I’ll be crossing my fingers and hoping.

What if Wonderland was in peril and Alice was very very late???
This is a twist on the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland. A "what if" version like the rest of A Twisted Tale series.
I enjoyed this and will probably read the rest of the series.

JULY- I Need Only One Word
“Read a book with only one word as the title.”
Wayward by Chuck Wendig
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I loved the first book; I adore this one.
Was there anything wrong with the book? Not that I could see. Okay, it’s long. Really long. But that just added to the pleasure.
The plot was engaging and original in its rendition, and it kept me hooked to the very end. Even though the book jumps around, there being several scenarios being played out, I never felt confused or irritated that the characters I mostly cared about weren’t center stage. They would be back.
And were they ever. The characters were compelling and fully finished, and I came to appreciate even those that I didn’t like. The ones that I did, all I could do was follow their journey and hope that they would make it to the end. Some did, some didn’t. But that was okay, because that’s the way it is sometime.
But who could ever forget the “very good dog,” Gumball? Not me.

-Wonderland by Jennifer Hillier -- an enjoyable psychological mystery 4 stars
- Bloodless by Preston & Child --enjoy the Pendergast series and this one did not dissappoint 4 stars
- Autoboyography by Christina Lauren -- gay romcom 3 stars

I changed my mind at the last minute, picked up #3 in the Joe Pickett series by C.J. Box, Winterkill. Really enjoy this series, looking forward to the second season of the show on TV. The endings are often heart-stopping, never gets boring! My review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
