Bree and her deputy, Jim Rogers, eventually find Alyssa hiding in one of the cabins. Considering she was armed with an axe, though terrified and the one reporting the shooting, was Rogers handling of her appropriate or too aggressive?

Susan (cruelshoes) | 158 comments Rogers was way over the top. He should have realized she was in shock even after she gave up the axe he was still not appropriate

~Melissa~ | 429 comments Rogers reaction/treatment of her was way more aggressive than was needed. His reactions even in previous book have been off.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I agree with Susan and Melissa. His actions were not appropriate at all.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Yes, his reactions were excessive. Once Alyssa was disarmed, there was no need to be so rough with her.

His actions were definitely excessive after she was disarmed. Rogers didn’t know if she was a witness or suspect but he certainly treated her like he was convinced she was guilty.
