Bree also teamed up with Stella Dane on this investigation as it crossed into Scarlet Falls burglary case. Morgan Dane also makes an appearance, representing Alyssa Vincent. Did Bree do the right thing in orchestrating Alyssa’s legal representation? Was Alyssa’s eventual deal fair or should she have gotten a stronger sentence? How involved was she in the burglaries, if at all? Was she duped by Harper/Sara?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments It was really nice of Bree to get Morgan Dane to take Alyssa's case. She knew about the burglaries and drove (or let them use) her vehicle for the burglaries. By the end of the book, I believed that Alyssa knew exactly what Harper/Sara was doing and she was helping her.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I thought it was funny that it was sister against sister. Don't think Stella saw that coming.

It was nice of Bree to get her representation. You could tell that Bree felt sorry for her.
I think Alyssa got off pretty easy as I believe she was involved as well. Especially when we hear her and Joe talking in the basement before they know that Bree, Matt and Roger were in the house

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments I enjoyed these cameos by Stella and Morgan. It is not surprising they are on opposing sides being a cop and a defense attorney, but the sisters love and respect each other.

Bree arranging for Morgan to defend Alyssa revealed that she felt sorry for Alyssa. She had had a rough time of it after her father became ill and died. She was in desperate circumstances and Sara did manipulate her.

Alyssa did get off easy, but there wasn't that much evidence against her. I don't think she is a threat to society. She just needs a helping hand.

I loved seeing Stella and Morgan go head to head and feel Bree did the right thing in helping Alyssa get a decent start to a second chance. While I don’t believe Alyssa participated in most of those robberies, she did in some, probably driving the getaway car.

I don’t believe she’s a threat either and deserves a break. She got the right sentence.
