I know what you mean. There are some challenges I've tried in the past with not much hope that it would go well, but they ended up going fairly decently after all, surprising me. Hopefully that will be the case for you with this one. I'm glad you're giving it a go!

Loading up my possible reads and will mark when done
The rainbow is a sign of God’s promise that He will never again flood the entire earth (see Genesis 9). Let’s celebrate God’s promise by reading the rainbow over the next six months.
The goal here is to read books with covers that feature the color assigned for that month. The covers must be at least 50% that color in order to count.

Milena, the books have to be 50% the appropriate color. I don't see 50% orange for this February book. Do you have another option?

The color has to be at least 50% of the cover. Do you have one that has more red on it, Lynnette?
You may backdate to January 1, 2023, as well, so if you've already read any red-covered books (at least 50%), they count.

Oops, I skipped right over that detail. Sorry! I’ll see if I can sneak another one in before the month ends. Thank you for the examples.
You're welcome, Lynnette! I'm still working on my first red book too. I doubt I'll get more than that, and it's going to be tight to get this one finished in time too.

I found one that should work in my e-reader stash and started it this afternoon. So, now the race is on to see if I can finish it in time! If only life would get out of the way and just let me read!! lol
My red:

Surprisingly, I think I'll do better in February, but am happy with getting one each month.

I got my red book finished a couple days ago.
Thankfully those flowers tipped the scales to 2/3 red with that header. :)

Great job, Katrina!
Thanks! It was the only red-cover audio I had in my collection. It totally came down to the wire for me, as the ebook I was reading for red wasn't moving along as fast as expected, because of a lack of reading time with work obligations. Thankfully, I had a day over the weekend with fewer obligations so that I could get that audio listened to.

Here’s an example of what a finished challenge might look like:
Rules
* Books must be read in the correct month.
* You may read as many or as few for each color within their designated month. The more you read in any given month, the chunkier that color of your rainbow will be.
Additional Rules
* no page minimum
* rereads are allowed
* any format is allowed
