I'm planning on reading it for Puzzle 5 - 8 (author/title: child). I had to look and discovered a problem with my spreadsheet. I originally had it slotted for Badge 1, but I read something else. Since I'm not ready to more on to Badge 2 yet, I have to cross it off my list. Now, to find a series book to replace it.

I have done that too. I had a Child book for the same task but had to move it to the series slot because I read something else. I am still trying to figure out what two puzzles I am going to finish for badge 2. I am trying to work off some more books that I own.

The Mistress of the Art of Death was my favorite Historical Fiction series and I regretted that no more had been written after 2010.

Now thanks to your post, I have discovered there was a 5th (10 years later) in 2020. I hope it is just as good as the previous ones.

That would be my next read, Almeta. Although it seems like there is another co-author for it, making me believe Franklin couldn't finish it.

Ariana Franklin died after the 4th book was published. It had a bit of a cliffhanger. Her daughter finished the series on her behalf but it was a long time coming. I haven't read the final book.

It sure did have a cliffhanger. I see book 5 was supposed to be published in 2014 but finally did so in 2020. I will surely be reading it and hopefully liking it.

I read the final book. I thought it was worth the read and nice to re-visit the characters. Not the quite the same feel though. I will be interested to see what you all have to say. :o)

I'm reading it for Puzzle 2, Task 4: GR's rating over 4.1

Oh! I was wondering if there was a sea creatures task or something that I missed. lol I'll be interested to see what you think of it. :)

As of three minutes ago, I have a book scheduled for next month:
Maxwell's Summer

This book is #20 in a series I like very much; it was published in 2020.
I just found out that the audio book will be released on 1st April - wohoooooooo! I have been waiting for this for three whole years! (Because Peter Maxwell aka Mad Max is only really Mad Max when he has Peter Wickham's voice, I swear!)
I think I'll re-read (=listen to!) the previous book in the series before exploring this new one.

(And wait patiently for #21 to come out in audio format one fine day...)

Actually I will finish The Sweetness of Water by tomorrow, which is looking like a 5 star read.

That's some list, Almeta. It took me months to finish listening to A Promised Land but it was probably because I'm not from US, don't know all about the politics there and some of it was really dry for me.
