Thanks! I think I am in a state of "planning overload". I signed up for so many challenges that I was going to need to read almost 200 books. Can't do it. So I've kept the challenges I really, really (I mean REALLY) like, pared back, or even eliminated, others. (Ironically, if I run true to previous years, the actual list won't look anything like the planned list!! 😒)

Donnajo | 4352 comments Me too. I do my here, I signed up for I think four in my Novel ladies group and the book planner I bought to try this year has maybe five challenges in it to do I figure I’ll do the prompts on that one I feel like and just see how far I can get.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16925 comments Gail: I really admire you for lining up your challenge titles up front and look forward to seeing how you end up! Whenever I have lined mine up in the past, I fell woefully short. It is good to try to have them somewhere top of mind when selections are made.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9483 comments I'm like you, Ann, which is why I don't plan too far ahead. But when I know I'm going to read something I slap it on the DL even if I haven't finished it. That's about as far in advance as I dare go, LOL.

GailW (abbygg) | 520 comments So - you want to know where all my planning for this stands four months later?

Of the 17 books I had originally planned for the year: I have read 6, substituted out 4, have 7 yet to read (if they are not substituted out as well)... So as much as I love to plan, I am easily distracted into changes...

message 8: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo | 4352 comments That is okay as long as you enjoy doing it and enjoy the books. I find I’m better off not picking the books ahead of time.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16925 comments Gail, that sounds about right! My mood rebels when I plan too much.

Congrats, Gail!! Are you going to start a new one for the second half of 2023, LOL?

Oh, I doubt it. I have other challenges in which I have fallen behind. I tend to work first on those with which I have the most fun!
