I was only going to skip Fragile Things but Zicci turned out to be a short story and Alice is a sequel so didn’t want to read that before the previous one which isn’t on my shelf yet.

Limanora: The Island of Progress

Yeah i'm pretty sure i stole that one from someone else in the group ;) . Just added it last year but a good way to start chipping away at the backlog.
On a related note i saw someone post this recently from HandsOffMyDinosaur :lol .

I also previously read Dubliners by Joyce but i wasn’t sure if that was written separately. If stories are all written together to form a whole then i don’t count them as shortstories, to me they’re more just chapters with unrelated characters :P .

Grace Latouche and the Warringtons isn't just a name, buts its a name and only other names so i'm counting it ;) .

29 books down, so perfectly on track for my usual target of 60 books a year.

although I’ve read this before, it was a prose translation, so in terms of poetry I’m counting this as new. Also, only Book 1 read so far. I’m counting it as multiple items due to length.

Amanda McKittrick Ros, Nevil Shute, Marcel Proust, Jane G. Austin, C.E.M. Joad, Jean Rhys, Frank Herbert, Andrew Martin, Alan Robert Woolley, Jack London, Marjorie Bowen, Albert Camus, William M. Timlin, Brian W. Aldiss, Margery Lawrence

You know most of these were 3 or 4 stars before but evidently their humour has been all drained out.
Even the last one which is actually a brand new one to me. Oh well, they're heading to the secondhand store when i need to make shelf room.

My last update of 2023. I actually failed to reach my usual target of 60 books for the first time since i joined this group.
But i did make the secondary of 16,000+ pages, which is usually about equivalent to 60 books, i guess it was just due to a few larger reads this time.
Anyway not a great year, pretty lacklustre overall. No real, new favourites.
Begone, past year, we welcome your replacement, and pray she will be kinder.
