Hello Everyone!

I am Abby, and I joined Goodreads this past year. The majority of my reading consists of thrillers, but I throw in a few horror and romance books every now and then. I am a casual reader, ringing in at 28 books this past year.

I have two cats, Callie and Luna, and a bearded dragon named Henry. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, binge watching TV shows, and occasionally playing some video games. I am a homebody through and through.

I look forward to getting to know you all, and seeing the books you read this year!

Hello! Happy new year to you all. I love books and particularly thrillers, mystery. At the moment, i failed in love with nordic or british authors because i love the slow pacing of their suspense. But i'm not averse to discover other authors or categories of mystery.
Hope to share lots of good books with you.

Hello and Happy New Year. Although I don't usually set out to read Nordic mysteries, everyone I've ever read I loved.

Hello fellow readers!

My name is Lauryn and live by the motto “just one more chapter…” in the face of nearly everything else i should be doing! 😜 I mostly gravitate towards crime books, thrillers, true crime, mystery, suspense, and psychological thrillers mixed with the occasional spooky horror gem and do a side step in the fantasy direction every once in awhile.

I’ve loved words as far as i can remember so, naturally i love reading. i write poetry when creativity strikes and that happens the more and more i read!

I knocked out about 60 books last year in between working the daily grind but have a hearty goal of 100 for this year.

I am so anxiously awaiting to learn about all the discoveries you all will be sharing with the group!

Great job hitting 60 last year, that is so awesome! I ended at 55 on a goal of 50 but wow, going for 100? Awesome as you got this!

YES!!! I love coffee and enjoy drinking it while reading, it's so relaxing to me. I'm so glad to hear you're loving this group, it's an amazing one. I found a few great authors and new novels I never would have read if it wasn't for this group. I'm mostly a horror guy but I like to balance it with mystery, suspense, and thriller. How about you?

hi my name is Chantelle. when i find a book i love ...i become so engrossed i forget the world around me. sometimes thats a good thing...other times it gets me into trouble 🤣
i love a good mystery/ thriller...but depending on my mood - also love the good old classic books!

I love to read. I love to write. Favorite authors include Michael Connelly, Elmore Leonard, Jeff Carson, and Craig Johnson. I'm about to start my first Mick Herron book.

Same here! Sometimes I'll take an afternoon break and I'm so wrapped up in my book that my husband has to remind me about dinner.

Hi Jeffrey, welcome. One of the groups I belong to was reading Slow Horses, I 175th (or something insane like that) in the queue at the library so I didn't read that selection. It's on my "to read eventually" list.

A friend recommended Mick Herron to me. She said if I like John LeCarre (another favorite), then I’d like Herron too.

I'm Joan. I'm a teacher, professional knitwear designer, mother of 3, and life-long Long Islander. Although I thought I only loved historical fiction, I discovered Karin Slaughter last year, and I'm now a devotee. I'm looking to do two things this year: Read more crime novels and get more active on GoodReads.
