OMG!!! I loved this book so much. At first I was unsure about it and didn't know how I would like it because it was moving so slowly. But by the middle and coming up to the festive I was in love. It ercked me so much that I couldn't figure out who was who, but I finally did. I was able to guess it the first night of the festive. I loved Lia so much. She was like no other princess I've read about. She had a fight in her. She know what was right even though she was torn between what she wanted for herself and what was best for the kingdom.
I'm torn before if I like Refa or Kaden. Though they were both after her for different reasons, I'm not sure who to like and who to hate. They both wanted to protect her by the end of the book. I think it was stupid for Refa to let himself be caught at the end. There was so much more he could have done if he was outside the walls.
I was able to figure out who was who the first night of the festive because of the pray. When Refa didn't know it, I know he was the prince. Because as an assassin, Kaden would learn those things to blend in more wherever he was. It wouldn't accrue to Refa to learn such things till after the marriage.
Over all I was going to give it a 4 out of 5 stars, but the last 100 pages or so really turned it around for me. The biggest part was when Lia stopped to bury her brother then the assassins started to help her.

I did it in the As I Read form -- basically while I was reading the book I would stop and film updates about what I thought about the book and make predictions about what I thought would happen next (basically this video is me trying to guess who the assassin is :P)
I somewhat figured out who was who when Kaden was cursing in a different language, and he covered it up by saying they were made-up words when Lia asked him about it. I think that was the part that had me 85% convinced that Kaden was the assassin!It was a fun book though. Excited for the next one. :)
