Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday.

2023 will be the 6th year we've had a our group. The group has been exactly what we hoped it would be, an easy way to discover new books and share impressions on what we're reading. Our total posts were down last year, which is not a huge surprise given life got back to "normal" after 2+ years of lockdown.

For 2023, what changes (if any) would you like to see? More book reviews? Inspiring quotes? More shared reading on the same books? Please add your ideas to this thread.

For 2023, I've reduced my ambition to 40 books but keeping with the same balance across fiction, non fiction, favorite authors, series and award winning novels. I'm traveling more so perhaps will get back to my 1 book per week pace from 2020 & 2021.

Lastly, this is an open group so feel free to invite friends or post updates from your more structured book groups.

Happy reading!

Sandy B (sbenemer) | 161 comments Thank you for keeping this group going, Eric. I enjoy seeing the opinions of everyone and the different book reviews. Other online book clubs put out challenges (ie/ read a book with a Hurricane at the center, read one with January in the title etc) but they can get tiresome and miss the point. I would love to see others’ lists of their best non-fiction books, current or backlist. My reading is heavily populated with fiction but I’d like to include more NF (and educational, not just memoirs) books in 2023. Happy reading!
