No, you can read from whatever Genre you want. You can for example start with fantasy - complete all the colors and then choose another genre and do the same and so on. :)

You can do that too. Definitely, you can do that. It is not a genre-specific challenge.
But if you want the challenge to run longer, then and only then, you are supposed to go genre wise.
The goals of this challenge are challenging yourself to go out of your niche, the aesthetics of it and fun. You should do what is fun to you.
