With each challenge Evan faced while in captivity, he recalls a memory in his training that gives insight as to how he might meet that challenge. Was this helpful in not only understanding how Evan might deal with the situation but also in better understanding the man? Was any of it insightful?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments His training came back to him in similar situations. Jack was always in his ear, telling him how to push through and complete his goal alive.

It was very insightful. Jack had deep feelings for Evan. It made me wonder why he deserted him in the end. I wanted that question to be answered.

It helped us see where he came from and how his training was as well as how his relationship with Jack transpired over the years.
