Can this challenge include books you are currently reading but are not rereads?

As long as they are books that were on your Want To Read shelf on Goodreads. As long as they are on your Goodreads TBR, yes.

Hey! I was just wondering if only books you added to your TBR before January count for points, or if you added the book during January (before you started reading it) still count for points as well?

They still count!

Also how do points work? I’m sure they were explained somewhere that I plain missed.

Okay, so. You get 1 point for each book you read. Then you get points depending on the page count of your book.
0-99 pages: 0.5 points
100-199 pages: 1 point
200-299 pages: 2 points
300-399 pages: 3 points
400-499 pages: 4 points
500-599 pages: 5 points
600-699 pages: 6 points
700+ pages: 7 points
Then you get 1 point for the "prompt" section, which is the section where you state when you added a book onto your Goodreads TBR. On the yes/no section, you get 0 points for putting yes and 2 points for no. Because rereads aren't allowed, unless they are marked on your TBR, your books should be marked no. Then you total the points you get. Hope this helps. If it doesn't, let me know

It will be updated soon =) It said 7, not 8 because that is what you had commented your points were on the scoreboard topic. That comment has been deleted as members aren't supposed to post on the scoreboard topic, however, it was my fault before for not closing it. But you had listed your points total as 7 and because I had previously been in a rush, I updated it without verifying. But yes, I will do that right now =)
