Ellen | 3511 comments Meddelin Chan is the reluctant photographer for her mother and 3 aunt's wedding business. The 4 older women treat Meddy lovingly as if she were their own child even while they constantly bicker and argue amongst themselves. After her mother sets Meddy up on a blind date she arranged by pretending to be her daughter in an on-line dating app, Meddy decides to keep the peace and go on the date. He turned out to be only interested in one thing and Meddy was having none of it, actually using a taser on him as he was driving her to a dark, deserted part of town. Unfortunately this caused the car to crash and Meddy finds herself alone with a corpse. After managing to get the body into the trunk of her car, she drives home where she enlists the 4 aunties to help her out of her predicament. The body is placed in a large cooler for safekeeping until they have time to dispose of him.

The next day the wedding business is slated to work a lavish wedding at a posh island resort with 2,000 guests attending. Mistakenly, the cooler makes its' way to the island and the desperate cover-up begins with hilarious results. Adding to Meddy's pressure is the owner of the resort hotel: her lost love Nathan. The sparks are certainly still there between them but how can Meddy explain a dead body that can't seem to stay in one place.

I found this book just delightful and I am happy to see that there will be at least another book to follow. The aunties are hilarious and the story line was great.

~*Kim*~ (greenclovers75) Oh I absolutely loved this one! I can’t wait to read the next one. Hopefully it will become a series.

Tien (tiensblurb) | 1641 comments Can't say I'm a fan of this one as I'm just not keen on the slapstick BUT I did enjoy all the Chinese-Indonesian references and can tell you it's aallll sooo true (am one myself) LOL
