When Bree visits Shannon to notify her about Holly’s murder, that it wasn’t a suicide, did you detect anything in her reaction that was curious at the time? Was her dog Chicken’s change in behavior with Matt puzzling (where he went from aggressive to docile)?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Chicken attitude toward Matt makes sense. He is good with dogs and Chicken sensed that.

I am actually more interested in the lack of Chicken's reaction to "Shannon." This was very misleading and deliberate on Leigh's part so that the reader would not guess the twist.

As an owner of multiple dogs over my entire lifetime, I can tell you now that Chicken would have known that Holly was an imposter and would not have been so accepting of her, especially as he was supposedly "nervy".

If I’m recalling correctly, Chicken was grumbly until Matt walked in and coddled her. Before then, “Shannon” didn’t seem to be able to control her. When it was revealed she wasn’t really Shannon, I remembered this scene.

The only thing that was a bit off when she was notified “Holly’s” death wasn’t a suicide was how shaken she seemed at the news. At the time, I just thought that she was troubled about her being murdered.

So did I

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree Lauren. Chicken would have known that Holly was an imposter. My dog loves my family, but when I'm away he looks for me.
