Bree’s not the only one becoming more deeply connected with her family. Her brother Adam appears to be more involved with not only Luke and Kayla but Bree, too. What changes did you notice in them in these four months since Erin’s death? How has Adam changed specifically?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1801 comments Adam is definitely more involved in the day-to-day lives of the family. In fact, it is clear that they have all grown closer and are coming to terms with Erin's death.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments In the first book, it was hard to get Adam to break away from his art for a few minutes to talk to Bree or any of the family. Now he is making them a priority over his artwork, and getting to know all of them better.

I agree with both of you about Adam. His change is nothing short of remarkable and it’s wonderful for those kids and him. As for Bree, it’s definitely changing her, too, as she’s grown up without a strong connection to her siblings, even though she was their protector and savior until the murder of her mother and death of her father. It’s becoming quite special.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with all of you. I felt that Adam used his art to escape from close ties to his family or friends. Now he is beginning to see how he is needed.
