rosa ٠࣪⭑! (rosafresita) | 3 comments The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, has been my last 5-star read and I would like to know what you would think of this story. Just like with Junji Ito, he creates such bizarre stories.

message 5: by Tabi (new)

Tabi I feel like jin would like love and Gelato! so I'd recommend that to him

message 6: by yare (new)

yare (yrznwa) | 21 comments hey rosa, i haven't read the seven husbands but i heard its a good one! taylor jenkins reid seems to be a favorite in the bookish community (:

message 7: by yare (new)

yare (yrznwa) | 21 comments @tabitha love and gelato sounds so cute! is that a romance?

message 8: by Tabi (new)

Tabi it is! it's a adorable romance that takes place in Italy! its one of my favorites books

yep, I've only read that book by the author, but I highly recommend it <3
I also plan to read more of his works to see why she is the favorite of many  👀

message 10: by Sara (moon⁷) (new)

Sara (moon⁷) (saraning) Mm it's such a difficult question, as each member has different favorite geners. For example, I loved so much "A little life" but I think it can be a bit heavy story for some of them, like I can't imagine Jimin reading this, I think he will be destroyed hehehe. Anyway, I can recommend something more easy to read (without any emotional damage ahahah) as Animal Farm of George Orwell or The old man and the sea of Ernest Hemingway.

message 11: by Sara (moon⁷) (new)

Sara (moon⁷) (saraning) @Tabitha oh I will add that book, finally something placed in Italy hehehe

message 12: by yare (new)

yare (yrznwa) | 21 comments @Sara i loved animal farm! the ending sent chills down my spine, i must reread it soon! i read the old man and the sea when i was younger for class and didn't really like it, i might also have to reread it just to get a better understanding of it since you speak so highly of it!

message 13: by qaima (new)

qaima | 3 comments @Sara the books you recommended are short stories. I am looking for short reads these days I'm glad I got some recc!!

message 14: by sophie (new)

sophie | 1 comments I think Before the Coffee Gets Cold. I think Joon spends a lot of his time thinking about his life, growing old, existential thoughts etc. He’s a very sentimental and nostalgic person and you can see it in his music, the way he explains things and the fact he feels very connected to artistic roots of all realms. Because of this, he probably feels very connected to those around him, and loves and feels very deeply. I think this book would get him thinking deeply and match his personality in that way.

message 15: by yare (new)

yare (yrznwa) | 21 comments @sophie yes!! i've never read it but you've convinced me to put it at the top of my tbr! it sounds like something both him and i would love (:

message 16: by Sara (moon⁷) (new)

Sara (moon⁷) (saraning) @yare you absolutely should give a second chance to the old man and the sea it is really a good book, with so many reflections:)

message 17: by Sara (moon⁷) (new)

Sara (moon⁷) (saraning) @qaima I hope these titles can be amazing also for you ♡

The benefits of being an octopus
If cats disappeared from the world
Speak of Laurie Anderson
Almond
Looking for Alaska

message 18: by Rayanna (new)

Rayanna | 2 comments I can think of two books I would love to recommend to specifically Namjoon. “If Cats Disappeared from the World” by Genki Kawamura and “This Close to Okay” by Leesa Cross-Smith.

The first is a novel about a man who is dying but Death offers him a deal that he can live a day longer each time he chooses something to disappear from the world. The second novel is the story of a woman that saves a man from attempting to take his life.

I think his thoughts would be interesting

A reader's canvas | 3 comments 'The Honest Truth' by Dan Gemeinhart. It is both heartbreaking and heartwarming and very close to my heart.

Infact I suddenly feel like trying mountain climbing someday after reading this book.

yare (yrznwa) | 21 comments @Rayanna Those two recommendations sound so interesting! I def have to pick up the cats one, I need to know what the man's thought process is for getting rid of cats ;-; and also if anyone else feel the effects of the disappearances or is it as if those things never existed? BRB gonna go read it now >.<
