Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments Are there any audiobooks you feel made the reading experience better for you that eye reading?

Let's discuss.

Also interested to know - was your first read audio, or did you discover it was better in audio up on a reread?

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments Yes! I have listened to the first few books in that series, and the narration is stellar!

I plan to return to it, but I think I'll start over to refresh my memory. I started them a few years ago, and I remember loving Angel's character.

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments One of my favorites in audio is Anne Bishop's 'The Others' series. I struggled with the narrator at first, and now I can't imagine reading the books any other way. I always try, but I have to give up and turn to audio. I love the way Alexandra Harris did Simon's voice so growly. I wouldn't have done that in my head, but it fits his character to a T!

This is super interesting! I actually tried to read this series in print and couldn't get through it. Maybe I should give it a try in audio instead. So far I've only listened to audio books of something I already love, but maybe next I should tackle good audio's of books I struggled with.
