A correct spoiler tag should (view spoiler).

Alter Text?

When posting HTML to text format, the nesting of your code is important. For example, if you want to bold and underline text, and you order your code as such: < u > < b > It is important to reverse the order to close, like < / b > < / u >.

Post a text link to another site?

This is what it will look like :

Wendy's Profile

Post a picture or gif?

This requires you to save and upload your image to a program that provides an image link, such as IMGBB online.

Post the GR link to a book by title or cover?

Above the comment box, there is a clickable link - "add book/author".
If you click on this, you can do a search for a book and then click the add button.

The title is the default selection. Outlander

If you'd like to show a cover instead, at the bottom of the pop-up window you can change the selection to "Cover" before you click the add button:
Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon

Post a larger bookcover which that functions as a link to the book page?

This should be written as one continuous string of code. While the image shows what looks like two separate codes separately it is only due to Goodreads adding a break. The end of the first code should be touching, like this ><.
Also, you can alter and amend the width and height as needed to format the image with appropriate dimensions.

If done correctly, you'll get this. Give it a click!
