Jay Lopez, Mark Jenkins, Dan Gillman and Izzy Zanelli have a private conversation about Tony, which he overhears. Was it an authentic representation of the various type issues related to Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell? Your opinion of how the arguments were presented, including the participants (representing a good cross section of attitudes)?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I believe it was realistic. There are different reactions to finding out a friend is gay, especially from men. The "he saw me naked," or the "does he want me" are big ones. At the same time, the men showed their loyalty to the group. Jay was interested in Callie and stayed away from her because they all thought that she was in a relationship with Tony. There is so much deception out of fear in this situation.

One of the things I loved about this scene is she made the points of view fit the characters and had the conversation be meaningful and realistic. It was extraordinary.
