I find it difficult to accept that Adam would change so drastically after such a short relationship (one that lasted a few hours).
I would have liked Tony to end up with someone less self-absorbed. He's a wonderful man and deserves better.

My complaint is that I thought the story was longer, but it turned out that my book was full of filler at the end. I understand that the proceeds from this book is a donation forever. However, I was expecting more character development so the end jumped out at me.
I loved the story most for what it taught us, secondarily for the romance between Tony & Adam. However, I’d like to think Adam turned around, especially after learning about what happened to him as a teen.
Brockmann probably marketed this book at the time it was released as a fundraiser. Over ten years later, it’s a harder thing to reconcile.
