What are your 2023 Reading Goals? Have you set a certain number of books to complete this year or have you set aside certain prompts to complete? Whatever your goals may be, or even not, you can let us know here.

I have set out to complete reading 50 books this year, whichever suits my mood. Not many since I will be busy with other things too.

I'm slowly trying to bring my "number of books read per year" down... I read 150 last year and I've set my goal for this year as 100 but I can definitely tweak it whenever or however I want... 💖

tazmeen ✨ (tazz_meen) | 81 comments Only 50 books this year because of exams and school. Though I do wish to read more, I just don't have time!!

Erica | 1309 comments I upped my goodreads goal this year to 200 because I read a lot of graphic novels/mangas, poetry collections and some picture books so I was passing my goal way too soon every year previously.

Lisette (illusie) | 1284 comments I've only read 160 books last year, so will set my goal at 160 again. Usually I read more books

Yes, yes. I barely have any time after school, then studies, then have to entertain my small sister (babysit) then, 10:00 sleep!!

Hailey (hva333) | 0 comments In 2021 I read more than 100 books, so in 2022 I set my goal as about 100 books again. However, I wasn't that active on GR and so I didn't log the long list of books I read on the GR yearly reading challenge... so now in 2023, I set my goal low at about 10 books, and if I surpass that, then that's great!

christene_littlelibrary (cpaulanavarro) | 160 comments Started my goal 25 books this year since I hadn't read January til April then decided to increase it to 50. And now I'm already 42/50. I'm thinking to increase it again to 75. ☺️

And as to book genre, still reading fantasy, thriller/mystery, and romance. But this year, I'm exploring historical fiction.

Genie ✨ | 119 comments i'm thinking of maybe increasing my goal of 100 books (which i passed a few months ago 😭) to like.... hmmm lets seeeee.... maybe fourty-five more books or smth lol!! i mean there are only four more months in the year yk

i also really want to step out of my comfort zone and read more ya :3

message 14: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 1284 comments still thinking about it? I think you should just go for it :D

message 15: by Genie ✨ (new)

Genie ✨ | 119 comments thank youu and i knowww... but UGH its just i dont wanna start reading a YA novel and then i have to stop reading it bcs of the content! I think i'll be more mature next year so i may be able to read through the whole book without stopping or smth lol!

bcs if i get a book i've ALWAYS WANTED TO READ and then have to STOP reading it. That will TOTALLY ruin my perspective on the book so... yeah *sigh* if that makes sense lol

Melissa Eisenmeier (carpelibrumbooks) | 16 comments Mostly just reading more. I've been kinda depressed lately and also stressed out because struggling financially, so haven't had the bandwith to read a whole lot. It's kind of hard to focus.

So sorry to hear about this! I can totally understand Melissa, when basic needs become our priorities it's difficult to find time for our hobbies, I hope you'll feel and get better soon :)

Lisette (illusie) | 1284 comments How is everyone doing with their reading goals for this year?

I'm reading more paranomal books, so that is a genre I hardly read last year. But still I don't read a lot of different genres (which was my goal), but I think I am going in the right direction
