Hey Seth, I’ve finished my very enjoyable read of A Sword of the Three Rivers and will review it soon! Here are some questions I’d love your thoughts on.

How did the idea of this book come to you?

You mention there’s more to come, and you’ve already written a sequel I believe. What are your plans for the series?

I liked the strange gladiator game they played for their wager - is that based on an actual gladiator event or did you make it all up?

Seth Hobbs | 4 comments I actually wrote this first book long ago, from age 18-25, when I had lost my license and fell on some hard times, getting my young life together. I just took off, not knowing where this journey of writing would take me. "Four Puppet Kings and a Fool" is the sequel, and yes, it is already out on Amazon! It is a sprawling epic that really shifts the focus from the protagonist of book 1-- to the antagonistic Sendyne Empire and many other power players around the world. Book 3, "Plutocracy of the Gods", is coming out very soon this year. I am about halfway done, but it will take a lot to conclude everything I want to tie up in this final book of the trilogy. I just made up the gladiator games that they play on Unaple', and I am glad you enjoyed it! It has a been a pleasure to discuss with you!

Very cool! Yea the two characters of the Sendyne empire that you introduce at the end of Book 1 are very interesting so I’m glad to hear that they are featured even more in book 2.

It sounds like A Sword of the Three Rivers was wild, but chaotic, exploration for a much younger you that you detailed over 7 years. That makes me curious, how long did it take to write book 2 and how long, assuming you finish book 3 later this year, will that one have taken?

Seth Hobbs | 4 comments Book 2 was written in about 3 months! I had epic Elder Scrolls and GoT music and Conan the Barbarian soundtracks playing in my head, as I scrambled furiously to the finish. Book 3 has been ongoing for several months now, but I hope it will be done in the next several months!
