Thea decides to attend her father’s wedding. Your thoughts about the conversation she had with him? What did you take away from it?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments It was a conversation that was years over do. He always loved Thea and her sister, but he didn't know how to show it. I believe it was made more difficult because of their mother's guilt trips.

I have a slightly different takeaway. I think their father loved them but not enough to put them first. It was telling that he thought providing them with money was good enough. He had no emotional investment. Thea was able to look him in the eyes and not see what her children saw reflected back in Gavin’s when he was with them. In that moment, she got that Gavin wasn’t her father on any level.

This was a pivotal moment for Thea where she got to see her father leaving them had nothing to do with her or Liv. He was just a man who had issues and a pitiful set of values.

Tammy | 4 comments Jonetta - I love your take on it. I agree and couldn't say it better. I also think that he didn't know how to show it also.

Thanks, Tammy. This felt like the most important scene in the story. And, I agree that Dan did not know how to show love. But, I think maybe it was because he loved himself more😏
