Jen K, your special advantage is you may leapfrog the three people immediately in front of you AFTER you move your 10 spaces and read the book there.

Super fun! Thanks Anita!

Yes you may since you haven't rolled again since you rolled the 7. Feel free to adjust one up or down.

They will be there whenever you arrive.
You might want to race through Baggage Car given it only has creepy CGI Tom who is linked to Joanne via cords as he fizzles out of being if disconnected.

Good for Gnarly! Baggage Car might need to do a buddy read - right Amy?

Good for you! FYI you don't actually move to #26, just read the book at #26 instead. Note it for Anita at the bottom of your tracking thread.
I had a 7 my first roll though opted to stick with book landed on. But you can see how I tracked my choice on my tracking comment.

Yes, what Nancy said is correct. You may swap for any book you want so long as it meets the length requirements. Just please note you are using a swap somewhere on your tracking.

Woo hoo!!!

I just might stay in the Second Class Lounge for a while.

I am reading When Stars Go Dark, which is the Fall Flurries Candle for me, and has been high on my priority list. And I like Paula MacLain. I just can't get through this book. Island of missing trees was like that too. At this rate, I will be the last to get myself across the board. The Porters will wave to me as they pass me by.... You would think being on Book Four and only by end of January would have felt like an accomplishment. At least Joiy's Magic Hermoine Trunk of Endless Entertainment is with me, right? Can someone just remove the damn cat? She is beginning to think I am furniture.

Amy, you are definitely NOT the last. I'm in the baggage car as well (on book # 3 ... or at least on that spot). Have just picked up the book at the library, but I have a couple of others to read first for my F2F book clubs. I may be here for a while.

Asking for future reads."
You can use a SWAP for that. You can substitute a different book. It has to be at least as long as the one you're dropping. It can be a book already on your list, or one that isn't. You can use 2 swaps per gameboard.
Ideally you'll realize you hate it right away, before wasting too much time on it. When possible, I like to sample books long before reading them. You can get free samples for many ebooks, and a 5 minute sample of almost any audio.

Then get thee into the Second Class Lounge!

My sister has donated a supply of Meowy Wowwy, her handmade little cat nip pillow toys, to the Baggage Car for Gnarly! Guaranteed to mellow Gnarly out and have her blissfully high and sleeping it off!
Note to CGI Tom - due to strength of the 'nip, only dole out one at a time, and store suppliy in a secure locked trunk that is Gnarly proof.
(P.S. These really exist. My sister makes and sells them (for $1 each) from cute cotton fabric using really good catnip that she buys in bulk; measure about 2 " square. Cats go nuts over them! It's hilarious - she's sent photos and videos. A colleague of mine dubbed them Meowy Wowwies after his cats were gifted a couple -- referencing the 'really good shit' some of us enjoyed in the 60s/70s - Maui Wowwy pot. @Amy - if Gnarly pesters you again, just have CGI Tom toss her a fresh one)

Doughgirl, your special advantage is that on the roll of your choice you get to roll 3 dice instead of 2. Make sure to remind me!

Then get thee into the Second Class Lounge!"
I have been there for 2 days now!

If you roll:
1-1: The current leader must move back 3 spaces on their game board and read the book where they have landed next.
Any combination totaling 7: You move 7 spaces and stay on that space, but you may read the book you land on OR one book forward or one book back - - your choice.
6-6: Don't like the book you will land on? You may roll again.
3-1: You get to take pick someone's next move on the board. The admins will use random.org to decide who will be moved. You get to decide which book they must move to next on their game board - - backward or forward -- within a 15 book radius. So you can move your opponent up to 15 spaces back or up to 15 spaces forward to the book of your choosing. Should you be reluctant to move another player ,or if you do not respond to an administrator's request to designate the move, random.org will move the player - odd rolls will move the player backward and even rolls will move the player forward.
2-1: You may use up to 3 of your participation points to move yourself ahead up to 3 spaces.
6-5: You must read a book that's on someone else's board and NOT on your own before you may roll again. (extra note here: you may read the book you land on first and then read the other person's book, or vice-versa. So two books must be completed before you re-roll).
4-4: Receive 4 participation points for the next book you read/review.
2-3 Get an extra "swap" that you may use anytime during the game.
6-4 Earn a surprise advantage to use anytime during the game
