I agree, Anita. This is one I have high hopes for, even though I too stalled in the book series.
Okay, I watched the first two episodes of The Rookie. Just what I needed…another series! Kinda hooked.

Streaming offers great actresses that can't get jobs in blockbuster movies terrific projects that feature mature women. I'm all for that.

It doesn't have anything to do with screen time. If I interpreted Cornwall's interview correctly, she would only give rights to her books to Jamie Lee Curtis. She trusts her with the project. Curtis has been a fan for years.

I agree Lynn. It drives me crazy when they age a 30 something actress to play a 50+ role instead of hiring a more age appropriate actress for the part.

That's starting to change a little bit mostly because actresses that have had some success are starting to take control of their own careers by producing their own projects.



That’s a great story, Maureen! I recently watched a true crime TV series on the Baton Rouge serial killers (if I recall, there were two of them). Didn’t know about the Cromwell aspect.

Derrick Todd Lee was the one I was thinking of, but yeah, I forgot Baton Rouge sure did produce some stone cold killers including one of the DC snipers John Allen Muhammad.
