Now that Gardner Dozois and David Hartwell have died, has someone picked up the anthology mantle?

Every year I bought the "Year's Best SF" and "The Year's Best Science Fiction" anthologies. Especially in Dozois's introductions, I enjoyed learning about the state of SFF and the publishing world. And I loved--need a stronger verb here--the stories!

What about the Jonathan Strahan and Neil Clarke series.
Are there others?
Are they still going?
What do you think of their story choices?

Locus just published their reading list for 2022 where they recommend volume 6 of Neil Clarke's series The Best Science Fiction of the Year: Volume Sixas well as The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy 2022 & The Year's Best Fantasy: Volume One for year specific volumes. I haven't read any of these yet.

also a few others they recommend but not necessarily year specific:

Another series that has been running for some time is edited by Rich Horton. I’m not sure of its current status. The most recent volume might be The Year’s Best Science Fiction & Fantasy, 2021 Edition.

I’ve been in the habit of reading Strahan’s anthologies most years but I didn’t enjoy them quite as much as Dozois’s. I am a bit disappointed if Strahan isn’t doing it any more. I’ve also read a number of the Horton books and liked them. I don’t think I’ve read any of the others, except the last 3 or 4 Hartwells.

I was recently asking the exact question on Reddit. My favorite had been the Dozois series, and then I switched to Strahan's. But Strahan's series has now ended and I've been looking for a replacement.

Based on recommendations, I tried the most recent Neil Clarke and quite enjoyed it. The most recent (Vol 6) is actually stories from 2020, so it overlaps with the last volume of the Strahan Saga series. There are only a handful of stories in both collections, which I guess just shows you how broad the potential list of excellent short fiction really is every year.

The Clarke series is continuing, but has been delayed due to supply chain issues. The last I read was that they were trying to get two volumes out in 2023, one with stories from 2021 and one from 2022.

With all of that said, I still miss Gardner Dozois' yearly roundup introduction. No one else I've read seems to have even tried to do something so comprehensive. The Clarke series has a few introductory comments, but it's not the same.

My life was so much easier when there were the two.
