I'm finally at the point where I need new eyes on my book. How did you find Beta readers? I've got 1 but everyone can't seem to find others.

I've uploaded my book on Reedsy to get a shareable read-only link and even have a few paper copies. Part of me is scared to ask anyone.

I don't know that you should feel scared, but it certainly is asking a lot depending on how much material. Have you created a blurb or some description? I've been lucky to have many work friends and friend friends :) able to do reviews.

I often use Fiverr.com to find beta readers, I prefer to have contract and it's not so expensive. Entrada aldo sometimes has a special of 5 beta reads for $99. Their beta readers are top notch.

Do you know about Absolute Write? https://absolutewrite.com/forums/inde... I have beta'd for other writers and have made some fantastic writing friends through this site, and I've had some great critiques from people on this site. I highly recommend it.

My suggestions, it is also what I have done, is to find and participate in a writer's group. The group will read and critique each others writing. Eight members of the group Beta read my last novel. And as a bonus, I Beta read one book a month last year.

With zoom, the writers in the group can now be anywhere. Ours has members in three states.

By word of mouth. A friend of mine, also an author belongs to a different writer's grouip and reccommended a person in that group. She has turned out to be very helpful.
