Crime Autumn Challenge - What book is it?
Duration: 1/3/23 - 31/5/23
Level:
0/?

Back in the Book town Library and the staff there need your help. It is amazing how many customers don't remember the title or the author of the book they want to read. But they do remember some details. Can you guess which books they need?

HINT: There are going to be many, many possible answers to all the clues - you just need to choose a book to read that fits.

Easy: 6 books
Medium - 9 books
Hard - 12 books.

Choose from the following and have fun! Each of the numbered clues is for a different book. And don't forget all books MUST be from our chosen genres of crime, mystery, thriller and suspense.

1. "It's a book by a male author - I think it had red writing on the cover."

2. "The writer was a lady - she's famous - her books are set in America somewhere."

3. "It was published last year and it seems as though everyone has read it except me."

4. It had an English detective in it - he was really nice. I think it was part of a series.

5. "The word murder was in the title."

6. "It was set in Melbourne. Or maybe it was Sydney. Anyway it was in Australia somewhere."

7. "It had a blue cover. I think. Yes it was definitely blue."

8. "I remember it had a very short title. Just one word actually."

9. "The title had a number in it but I can't remember which number it was."

10. "I am sure the author's name began with a B"

11. " The only thing I can remember is that my friend said it was the first book the author wrote, but it was very good anyway."

12. "It was set in a library, or maybe it was a bookshop - there were definitely books in it."
