Jessica | 225 comments To be completely honest I can't remember if I have read it or not. I may have watched the movie, cause I can visualize that, but I can't remember if my sister had I a copy and I perused it or actually read it. >.<

Can't wait to "finally" read it ^-^

Aline (thousanduniverses) | 53 comments I want to read this for so long and I'm curious if it's really that good as everybody keeps saying. So I'm planing to read this for week 18 too.

I liked it a lot and it's not a genre I usually read :)

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 319 comments It is a great read. I found it a fast read also.

Katie (ktmac_1) I read it in high school, but want to read it again. Great time to do it considering that here second book is coming out soon. This book has some great characters. I loved Scout and Boo Radley.

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments This is my choice too. I've read it before, loved it and can't wait to read it again!

I remember reading it in high school. I remember just adoring Gregory Peck in the film. I'm going to read it again for this week's challenge criteria because I don't remember it enough to really have too many thoughts on it. I remember not minding it as I did many of the other required reading in high school. Then again, after re-reading a few books I remember disliking in high school, I've come to think that maybe it was more about not wanting to be told what to read than a genuine distaste for the assigned reads. Or maybe I just lacked the maturity to fully appreciate them then. I'm interested to see what the adult me thinks of it.

So far, I'm liking it. I started reading it a few hours ago and I'm about a quarter of the way though. It isn't a difficult read which I'm very much appreciating right now since I'm trying to play catch up while still staying current so I can be present in discussions. I like Scout and her narration of the events is quite charming.

In searching for a book for this week's challenge I realized that, other than reading this in high school, I have not read a single Pulitzer Prize winning book. Hmm.

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments I've had a busy weekend so I'm not quite halfway through it yet, but I'd forgotten how much I love this book. Scout is such a brilliant character and I love her relationship with her big brother. :-)

I really like her too. She's so spirited.

Marina | 272 comments One of the buildings near my library burned down a couple of months ago. Some parts of the library were damaged and also some of the books. To kill a Mockinbird was unfortunately one of them, so I haven't got hold of it yet. I hope they'll release it as an e-book soon!

Katie (ktmac_1) Oh no. I hate to hear that about your library. I never realized that it has never been released as an e-book. I am behind on my reading so I will be coming back to this board to comment when I have finished it. So, maybe that will be around the same time as you, Marina! :)

There is an ebook for this, you can find it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Kill-Mockingbir... ;)

Marina | 272 comments Sorry, it's just me who didn't express myself good enough :) There is an e-book, but sometimes it takes a while before I can borrow it from the library. I think they only lend out a certain number at the time. So right now I'm on hold but hopefully I'm the next in line.

A partially burned library is just so sad. :(

Got it! Hope it comes to you soon. :)

Marina | 272 comments I got the book... And I loved it! Scout is a great character, but I also really liked Atticus. He is my new favorite dad-character. I admired his calmness and composure no matter what happened or what the kids were up to.

I haven't seen the movie, and I'm not sure I want to now. Maybe it'll ruin the book for me!

Jessica | 225 comments Started reading this one (finally got it from the library), and stopped reading my "true story" one cause it was a little too heavy for me. Though I am pretty sure if memory serves, the ending of this book is a little heavy too. Ah well.

Francesca | 391 comments I've just started this book for this topic. I had a very busy weekend so haven't had any time to actually start reading it yet but I'll be starting it today.

Rebekah | 98 comments I finally read it for the first time. It is now my favorite book. It's an awesome book!

Sophie (sawphie) I'm planning on re-reading it before the end of the year, I can't wait!
