Add your thoughts about the first half of the book (Page 256 - Chapter 31))

Hannah Unkefer | 1 comments This is such a great book so far! I loved how Laini Taylor has set up the mystery of Weep. Strange is an amazing character that is just so lovable and an amazing character to follow for the first half of the book. It made me so happy to see him fit in with the Tizerkane warriors and live out his dream. I wasn’t expecting Thyon to literally copy Strange’s life story (my jaw dropped) and it makes me wonder how that is going to impact the two characters in the second half.
Sarai’s point of view really added to the story of Weep. I really enjoy reading two points of view, and Sarai’s perspective adds a lot of understanding about what the people of Weep have been through in the past couple years.
I’m really excited to see how they solve the problem of the citadel in the next half. I’m not sure that a happy ending exists because of the hatred that the people of Weep hold for the Gods. And that the prologue showed Sarai’s death. It’ll be very interesting to see how Lazlo and Sarai’s relationship develops and whether they can connect the two points of veil to create a solution for the city and the children!
