Why did Candy walk away from killing Evan and, essentially, Van Sciver?

Ugh. I can't remember what happened that made Candy turn on Van Sciver. I know at the time it made sense. I have to say I was surprised that she let Evan go.

I think Candy is tired of the whole vendetta angle and knows its never going to end if she is not the first one to walk. I believe she is tired of always looking over her shoulder. I liked her more for walking away.
