Per Wikipedia this originated to commemorate the Stonewall Riots which occurred at the end of June in 1969. Would you recommend this book? Absolutely! Another of my top 5 reads this year! Loved the Ace representation, development of the characters, the setting. It draws you in, doesn't let you go, and gives you all the feels. Alice Oseman may be my newest favorite writer.
