kristen | 7 comments Part 1: cozy movies
As someone who loves to read I also adore movies !! I love getting enveloped in a story for a while. Here are my favourite cozy movies:

•Kiki’s delivery service: This is my favourite studio ghibli movie! It’s about a young which who uses her broom to provide a delivery service in a new town she’s just moved to. This movie is super cozy, and I love to watch it when i’m feeling sick or sad, because it’s so comforting. Appropriate for all ages!
•Harry Potter and the prisoner of azkaban: I love the Harry Potter franchise and this is my absolute favourite of all the films. I love the cozy fall vibes as well as the time traveling plot line! I would also say this is appropriate for most ages.
•The fellowship of the ring: Of all the films in the lord of the rings/hobbit franchise, this is my favourite. I find it the most comforting, because the thick of the action and conflict is yet to come, and the setting is absolutely stunning. This one is appropriate for most ages as well.

kristen | 7 comments Part 2: Fun movies

•Almost famous: I wish more people knew about this movie. It is about a teenage boy aspiring to be a journalist who gets to tour with a band in the 70s. The vibes are immaculate. If you like daisy jones and the six you’ll love this! Not appropriate for all ages, there’s mature content like foul language, mentions of sex, drug use, etc.
•Little miss sunshine: This movie is hilarious! It’s about a wacky family trying to get their little girl to a beauty pageant. Lots of crazy stuff happens along the way. This movie isn’t appropriate for everyone, because there’s use of foul language as well as content related to drug use, suicide, etc.
•The amazing spider man: I am not a marvel or dc girly, but I really enjoy andrew garfield’s depiction of spider man. The villain is clever, the movie is witty, and the romance is cute. Appropriate for most ages.

kristen | 7 comments Part 3: beautiful movies

•Before sunrise: This movie is about two people who meet on a train and decide to get off the train together spend one day with each other. Of course, they eventually fall in love. The movie touches so beautifully on so many topics, and has such a great depiction of what it’s like for two people to meet and fall in love. The cinematography is also just gorgeous. Appropriate for most ages, though there is slight mentions of sexual content, alcohol, etc.
•Dead poets society: This is a beautiful tale about a bunch of young men at a boarding school who find a love for poetry after their new teacher introduced them to it. It has a really beautiful depiction of boy/manhood. This movie can get quite sad near the end, but it’s well worth the watch in my opinion. This may not be appropriate for everyone, because there is some sexual content and suicide.

I love the Harry Potter films. The movies are always playing on t.v. so I always catch at least a little bit every year. I like the first film bc Harry is just discovering that world. The films get darker and darker. I like the introdduction of Sirius Black in Prisoner of Azkaban. I didn't read the book before I saw the movie so it was a surprise to me. They cut a lot of Voldemorts backstory out of the 6th movie.

I love the Lord of the Rings movies. I agree that Fellowship is my favorite. I love the Shire and it starts out nice before it takes a dark turn. I would love to visit the site for the Shire. I love Concerning the Hobbits song. I haven't watched the movies in a while. I like that Peter Jackson puts tons of extras on his dvds.

I got to go to the Lord of the Rings Symphony after the last movie came out. Itnwas amazing. Howard Shore was there. Billy Boyd came and made a cameo and sang. I just love the hobbit and their beautiful friendship.

I saw the first Before Sunrise movie. I know they made two or three more movies.

When I was in high scholl, we had to watch Dead Poets Society in class. It's masterpiece. It's one of those movies you watch and can go back again to pick up foreshadowing. Yes, it's a very tragic and movie too. It was shocking too. I think we had to write a paper on it.

C.K. | 6 comments Pride and Prejudice (2005) rated PG. I think it's fine for all ages.

I really like the Keira Knightley version of Pride and Prejudace. I can watch that movie again and again. I got to see it in the theater so it was nice seeing it on the big screen :)

Emma (2020 version) I think it's PG. There is some brief nudity. The H butt is shown briefly when he is getting dressed. The h lifts the back of her dress in her room, I think to get warm by a fire. You just see maybe a little of the side of her butt.

I really like the new version of Emma starring Anya Taylor-Joy. It was in theaters right when lockdown happened. My mom and I planned to see it in theaters. That week they started to warn not to go places bc of Covid so we aired on the side of caution and decided not to go to the movies. Then, shutdown happened. They made the movie available to rent for $20. I got to rent it and watched the movie 3 times. It was something nice and happy too watch during a scary time at the beginning of the pandemic. I still wish that I could have seen it on the big screen.

rae (jurdan's version) -Enola Holmes (Age rating: 13+ because of its violence and scary scenes)
This is one of my favorite movies every omgg. It's about sherlock holmes's sister (Enola, who is played by Millie Bobby Brown) whose mom goes missing and she has to find her by following these clues. (On Netflix)

-The greatest showman (Age rating I would say like 10+. The official rating is PG)
This one is about a man who opens a circus and has all the "misfits" in his town star in it. And its like very dramatic and stuff but its so good. Starring Zac Efron and Zendaya btw >:) (On disney+ and amazon prime I think)

Enola Holmes - 12 because of scary scenes ( a mature 11 year old could def watch it tho)
Enola Holmes 2 - Its also rated a 12 and I think that's accurate (There's a kiss, and violence)
Wild Child - 12 (kiss, occasional swearing, etc)
Harry Potter series - pg - 12
The school of good and evil - 12 (kiss, violence) one of my faves!

August (Dean's Version) As someone who hates watches new things and instead watches the same five movies a billion times, it's my time to shine!

Mean Girls (PG-13)
The Proposal (PG-13)
Princess and the Frog (G? PG?)
In the Heights (PG-13)
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (PG-13)

The Labyrinth is a classic. I liked that movie Legend too with a young Tom Cruise. I like all the movies on your list. I wanted to rewatch the Corpse Bride when it was on for Halloween but didn't get too. I did read two books though where the h described the H as looking like the guy from Corpse Bride.

Pan's Labrynth was creepy and sad but I thought it was a good movie.
