Shawna Finnigan (sugoishawn) | 56 comments The Hobbit is such a good book. I had to read it for an English class and it was one of my favorite books that I've ever studied for school

I loved it as well and the trilogy afterwards

Christine Gonzalez | 1 comments I just finished The Hobbit about week ago. I’m almost 40 and had never read. Felt like it was something I needed to read. I enjoyed it but don’t think I’d ever read again.

Dirk Van | 1071 comments I read the Lord of the Rings first.
When I was 13 or 14 years old a teacher in our class held up the book and asked the class: "Who wants to read a good book?"
This was 1971 or 72.
I read the Hobbit some time later and only have vague memories now.
I liked the movies though. Martin Freeman is excellent as Bilbo!

I still need to read the trilogy. I've heard it's amazing and one of my close friends talk a lot about how much she loves the series
