Hi May~ How's your read going?I have to say I can't remember almost anything from the previous books haha 😅, fortunately they seem to mention bits of story here and there.
Chapter 6 read~
Wow, I missed Magnus and his sense of humor a lot! The others too, but right now I miss Sam, Blitzen and Hearthstone~
Also, I loved the first and second chapter with Percy and Annabeth ❤️❤️❤️ It's so funny seeing this crossover! And I miss them too, now that they have a "normal life".
The part where Magnus 'visits' Loki was sooo creepy with his nails growing. I was like 'eww gross'
Hey! It's going good so far. Just read until chapter 6 this morning (was too tired last night to read) and so far I'm enjoying the story!I'm glad I reread the last two books so it's still fresh in my mind.
Same! I miss Magnus's humor and the funny chapter titles! Seeing Percy and Annabeth again makes me excited for the new Percy Jackson book coming out this year
Oh yeah that was creepy! The whole ship being made out of nails is gross
Ok so I'm caught up on todays chapters! The gang already found themselves in trouble, early on in the quest lolAnd Magnus needs to stop getting into difficult challenges! I wonder how the insult challenge against Loki will go 😂
I'm behind on the schedule, hoping to catch up today. So far I read up to chapter 14 and I like the Doctor Who reference included (comparing their ship to the Tardis) 😊Hearing how TJ died and how he saw his enemy in Valhalla too was sad. It's good he was able to let go of his hatred.
Ooh I'm glad I'm not the only one behind haha.I've read chapter 14 too, and the TARDIS mention was amazing! I am so curious how Mallory and Half orn died too, it seems to be more about them.
And guess if TJ dead was caused by some god or something? I don't think so but that a lietunant said to him specifically to battle them seems suspicious...
I'm super sad that Blitz and Hearthstone left! D: And what about Njordir said? That they could die on their quest? Uuugghh
Same, I'm curious about Mallory and Halfborn's past too!I hope Blitz and Hearthstone come back and join the gang soon!
I just finished reading chapter 18 and I found it funny when TJ would go around and thank the people in York for something that happened many years ago.
Also, the contests they find themselves in are always random but interesting ones. This pottery fighting contest is going to be interesting to read.
I read up to chapter 22. I haven't had much energy lately which is why I've been reading slowly 😅We learn more about Mallory's past! And wow Loki is messed up. Tricked her twice by impersonating her friend and was the reason why she ended up dying.
Don't worry! I'm alternating between this and Crooked kingdom, because I'm behind in both BRs haha at least Edith and you are understanding ❤️Yeah, I didn't remember that Mallory was from Ireland... Probably form that Irish group from years ago? (I don't know the detail right now, but there was a terrorist group years ago)
The pottery contest was fun! I liked Magnus doing coils lol like a kid.
I thought the ceramic soldier Alex created could go with them, ut it seems it doesn't uugh.
Now I'm with Hearth and Blitz, and I'm so sad for Hearth and what will happen next.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one behind 😂I read up to chapter 27 so far and wow what happened to Hearthstone's dad was crazy. Wasn't expecting the ring to turn him into a dragon! I'm glad Hearth was able to confront his dad and end up getting some closure with his past so he can take back the last rune
I'm on chapter 30 still! D: Hope I can finish this weekend~ Have you finished yet?I didn't expect Hearth's father to be a dragon neither... And it was kind of gross to imagine Hearths eating his fathers heart, but thanks to Magnus he didn't have to think about that haha.
I guess what new powers Magnus has after tasting the dragons blood? Apart from hearing animals?
I'm sooo hyped by the fleeting, and I'm not even near it 😅

Finished, yay!I cried during the flyting, and I was all the time "I think he's forgetting someone..." and then Jack appeared hahah I forgot about him too haha
Yeah, I wanted to hit Odin when he claimed he had Kvasirs mead?! This whole time? Uuugh gods.
That final wish from magnus reminded me of Percy asking Zeus that all demigods got claimed and had cabins ^^ Good boys.
Well I enjoyed the book! And how Magnus accepted that fluctuating relationship with Alex haha ^^'
Yeah Magnus does remind me of Percy a little bit. They both were kind enough to ask the gods about ways to help others!I enjoyed doing this buddy read with you :)
I'm sorry I didn't catch the pace with you! It would have been more fun that way!
