Cheryl, your advantage is that you may roll 3 dice whenever you wish. Please just request it when you request your roll.
Joi, you will be moving MargieD2017. Let me know what you decide!

I will move Margie D to the same spot as me- #24!

Which fits in nicely with the Japan theme for the month.

It's always nice when that happens!

So I scoured lists for about a half an hour, finally stopped when I had a few good choices. Made sure to get to Charlotte and Hayley's lists, which did not disappoint! But Linda C's list has like six books on my Want To Read Shelf. Anyway, I have choices from Linda, Joanne, Hayley and Charlotte, all that fit, but really it ended up down to two. Book Concierge has Rooftops of Tehran on her list, its also already on my Subdue Shelf as well, and its under 300 pages. That was a done deal..... until.... Booknblues has Postmistress of Paris. Its something like number three or six or something on her list. And... Its sitting in my car. Because I was planning to read it this month because its one of my two Trim books. I was reading this anyway! I'm not even needing to add in something extra! This eleven roll has got me at just the right month. But I am keeping this list, and Rooftops of Tehran in mind, just in case I roll an 11 again. Or BC, if you roll one, same for you! The book I actually landed on, #53, was the Court Dancer. Which has been on my TBR ever since we all did the Korea tag a number of years ago. It's stayed there ever since. I am really liking this challenge, because it indeed is getting me to pick up stuff I might not have otherwise gotten to.
Off to review Instructions for Dancing - Subdue #6.

I do so love a book serving multiple purposes. And it is lovely.
I have had to take a temporary break from reading it though to be sure I get my modern gothic read for next week's Center for Fiction discussion class.
That means I continue to oversee the antics in Baggage Car. I also keep Gnarly mellow with meowy wowwy.

Wish it could be so, Amy, dear. BUT ... the rule for special roll 6-5 says you have to read something from someone else's Subdue the Shelf list that is NOT on your list. So Rooftops of Tehran won't work this time around. Sorry ....

But I am going anyway with Postmistress of Paris from BnB's list, which is not on my Subdue list, but is my Trim Book - and was also already in both my queue and the car.
Thank you Joy - Anita wrote me to tell me. I got up late, knowing I had an extremely stressful and jam packed day again. I am reminded of Dowager Countess Violet in Downtown Abbey saying, "Excuse me, but what is a Week-End?" I have been repeating this phrase with amusement over and over again, because I think for others they don't look remotely like this. Anyway, I took a few hours to get farther in A Most Clever Girl by Stephanie Thornton. So now at 10:30 just arising. In any case, I am moving from 53 - The Court Dancer to 58 - By Fire By Water. Which, I have always wanted to read. So I am grateful both for the move and for the opportunity! Thank You Joy for both gifts. I believe Joanne is the one also who recommended by Fire By Water. Court Dancer will have to wait for my non-existent if ever Porter Level shot. I mean maybe, its only the beginning of March and I am already at 58.....
Wishing everyone a happy day.

WOO HOO!!! Congratulations, Nancy!!!

Sorry if this has been asked before... just tell me to read the threads better 😆

(FYI, current position is 80 on my board - Sunday shake-up sent me back there, and I really enjoyed the book, so thanks!)

Hi Tien,
You can pick a book from ANY Gameboard including those that have been completed already. And I don't this question has been asked and answered so it was a good one!
The only condition is that the book cannot be on your own Gameboard.

There were 6 items in your list. Here they are in random order:
Ellen
and Ellen, you need to move back, 1 space.

If you roll:
1-1: The current leader must move back 3 spaces on their game board and read the book where they have landed next.
Any combination totaling 7: You move 7 spaces and stay on that space, but you may read the book you land on OR one book forward or one book back - - your choice.
6-6: Don't like the book you will land on? You may roll again.
3-1: You get to take pick someone's next move on the board. The admins will use random.org to decide who will be moved. You get to decide which book they must move to next on their game board - - backward or forward -- within a 15 book radius. So you can move your opponent up to 15 spaces back or up to 15 spaces forward to the book of your choosing. Should you be reluctant to move another player ,or if you do not respond to an administrator's request to designate the move, random.org will move the player - odd rolls will move the player backward and even rolls will move the player forward.
2-1: You may use up to 3 of your participation points to move yourself ahead up to 3 spaces.
6-5: You must read a book that's on someone else's board and NOT on your own before you may roll again. (extra note here: you may read the book you land on first and then read the other person's book, or vice-versa. So two books must be completed before you re-roll).
4-4: Receive 4 participation points for the next book you read/review.
2-3 Get an extra "swap" that you may use anytime during the game.
6-4 Earn a surprise advantage to use anytime during the game
