I wish I could understand why, when the sister's life was in so much danger, that Steve stayed out in the car whilst she showed the potential buyer round her flat.

I just didn't understand that!!

Shell, I thought Steve stayed outside in the car near the entrance because she insisted on it but also because they believed the potential buyer would come from the outside of--not from inside--the building. Once Quentin showed up at her door, she was unable to phone Steve to tell him differently.

I still think that, no matter what, she was meeting a stranger on her own when they knew she was in danger. It was such an obvious weak area. I just can't see him agreeing to sit outside in the car. It didn't work for me.
