I signed up for Scribophile and also Critique Circle. The latter permits 3 posts in their Newbie thread but it is costly to post more than one. I just uploaded my first write there; people seem friendly and all-business so far. The free version allows lots of formatting. Scribophile only gives you one Newbie post but I got great results, six crits for my first chapter and super helpful and friendly new friends. It seems that the interface is also easier to use. However, you don't have as many format options on the free version.. The group admin sends welcome messages and does read your replies. He sends a follow-up as well. Someone with a face and a name and a detailed profile, which boosts confidence. They are both good and as I learn more about CC will undoubtedly have a better idea of which features are useful for what issues.
