Kyle | 898 comments And I'm 0 for 3. At least I _think_ this may have been my Zombie, so...

Jason Perdue | 688 comments Marra's ToB flame outs continue.

message 5: by Kyle (new)

Kyle | 898 comments Which just clears him for a win in this group in, like, 2025.

Bob Lopez | 529 comments Holy...I got one right! Somehow got it wrong on my paper bracket? Ahh whimsy!

message 7: by Brock (new)

Brock Stevens | 18 comments OK, the three books that I have not read/finished (Little America in play in) have all lost their match-up. Let me know if you want Rabbit Hutch and/or Nightcrawling to not make it to the quarterfinals.

Too funny, Brock. What powers you have!

Kip Kyburz (kybrz) | 541 comments I do think Book of Goose feels like a book well-primed for this type of competition. I think it's slight abrasiveness then mixed with its open-endedness and slight mystery while encompassing an intensely character-driven story seems very ToB. This is all vibes-based but that's why I picked it in bracket as opposed to my preferred MPP. I think there are elements of MPP that would have put me off much more if it wasn't a favorite author (I do not care much for stories of Hollywood) but I thought the Italian sections were so very very good.

Lark Benobi (larkbenobi) | 197 comments They explained exactly how I feel about Marra’s books. All of them. I need to think about why, now.

Kyle | 898 comments How long until Mercury Pictures Presents is optioned for a film adaptation? Can't be too long, given how much Hollywood likes to make movies about Hollywood.

message 12: by Gail (new)

Gail | 46 comments I didn't connect with Mercury Pictures, either. The girls in The Book of Goose spoke to my heart.

message 13: by Gwendolyn (new)

Gwendolyn | 306 comments Im happy with how this one turned out. MPP was a slog for me, but I loved Book of Goose.
