I didn't pick up on the fact that there were 3 shots.

I didn't pick that up, but I did remember from book #1 that Bree heard footsteps after the gunshots. I still have my suspicions that Jake Taggert did not kill himself.

The third shot was significantly later. I also don’t believe Jake killed himself.

I missed her remembering the three shots. It was a tense moment while I was listening to it.
