No worries at all! We will find you and remind you! LOL :)

We will remind you, Anne. :)

That's great that you'll be joining us in June, Heather and Adriennelee! Sorry to put it so far I the future, but I've got April and May super booked.
Whoo-hoo! More members to join the read! Awesome Heather and Adriennelee to see you on this thread. :)

Thanks Sally. I definitely appreciate the advance notice. I have so many books I want to get to!

Thanks Marie!

Awesome Steven! The more the merrier! :)

We are moving this buddy read back to June 16th as some of us forgot about it and we are crammed with reads around this time. So moving it back two weeks. We scheduled this read back in March but a lot has happened since March with book reads - lol. :)

Once again we need to move this buddy read back so we are now moving it to July sometime. Not sure of a date yet but maybe about the middle of the month or later in the month of July. Will keep you posted. Some of us are still jammed up with books and need to spread some out. :)

I will try to join in July as well. I ddn't love The Exorcist's House as much as a lot of people, but I'm a sucker for the "fresh start in the new house" and creepy kid tropes.

Thanks Marie! Im sure mid-July will be here in the blink of an eye too.

Thanks Marie! That works much better for me on having this BR next month.
You all are welcome! I had a feeling that most of us were still jammed tight with books and really had no wiggle room to fit another one in so it will work out much better hopefully for July. :)
Steven wrote: "Wow! This title is eerie and violent! It definitely has me worried for the family in it."
Going to try and get to this next month - glad that you are enjoying it Steven.

So what date do you all want to read this book this month?
Chime in and we will figure out when as I don't know what all of you have going on with reading schedules so it is best for all of us to figure out a date together instead of me just picking a day.

Okay guys and gals! lol We got behind on this buddy read so who is up for it this month in August?
Early month - middle of the month or later in the month? What is good for everyone?

So I thought it easier to tag you all this way - we can either read this book this month sometime together or you can all drift in and out to read when you want - just post your book thoughts on this thread - but since there are a few of us that want to read it probably best to read whenever we want and just post our thoughts here instead of trying to read all together as I know most of you are bogged down with buddy reads and group reads. :)

If you all want to start this soon, don't let my reading schedule dissuade any of you. I can always read it later in the year.
I say maybe just do it this way. There seems to be quite a few of us that want to read the book but hard to get us all together. One of the crew on here (lol) already read the book so how about just read the book at your own pace and post on here when you read it. Just add spoilers if you want to discuss.
That way we don't have a specific month to read the book in as all of us are bogged down with books. Just read it when you want and post in here. :)

Anathema
Bryan and Ellie Stockton hope they left behind their demons when they move to their idyllic new home in southern West Virginia. Above all, they want a fresh start for their young son, Derrick, who witnessed the tumultuous first years of their marriage – years that were rife with substance abuse, rage, and resentment. Their bright hope for the future is darkened when a child disappears from their neighborhood. The couple becomes suspicious of a reclusive resident with a degenerative brain disorder. Strange events begin to happen in their house just as Derrick tells them about a new friend who visits him at night. Their son may be acting out from the trauma he endured, or he could be the obsession of something much more sinister.
